It’s the new night out in South London! Live music, comedy, entertainment and good good vibes. Kicking off with the Rare Groove edition
Do you see yourself as a bit of a music connoisseur? Can you sing along to every song that you hear on the radio? Think you know music, but do you know that tune deh?!
This is a brand new night for people who love good music but don’t really have the energy or desire to go raving all night. Who like to laugh and have fun in relaxed environments while hearing some of those back in the day tunes that evoke great memories and emotions.
You Know That Tune Deh! will test your musical knowledge across different genres:
Rare Groove // Reggae // 90’s RnB // Motown // 80’s Club Classics // Soul // NeoSoul // Lovers Rock
On Friday 28th June, we kick off with the Rare Groove edition.
Will you know the names of all the tracks (and artists for bonus points) played courtesy of our amazing, live band ‘The Vanbrugh Hill Music Syndicate‘ alongside a bit of comedic assistance from our host Peter Francis?
Can you tell your Leroy Hutson from your Willie Hutch, your Barbara Mason from your Shirley Brown and your Bobby Glover from your Bobby Womack? Think you can name that tune from the opening 8 bars or the bridge? ‘You Know That Tune Deh!’ promises to be an evening that will shake you up and have you coming back for more.
After the music quiz we’ll continue the rest of the night with DJ Tony P – The Breakfast Connector – playing more of your favourite tracks, so come along and feel those good vibrations. Tickets must be purchased in advance so don’t be one of those people at the door saying “You can’t turn me away”
Let the good times roll!
