Duke Vin & Birth of Ska (12a)
Detailing the life of original soundman Duke Vin; a member of the migrant Windrush generation that travelled from the Caribbean to Britain and introduced England to the now infamous all night Blues ‘House Party’ and originating the first Ska/reggae sound system in the UK. This documentary film also depicts the negatives and positives of life for the new Windrush migrants and how they integrated into British society.
Featuring: Duke Vin, Count Suckle, Don Letts, Fatman, Jerry Dammers and others.

If coming from North/East London catch the ‘Loughbough Junction’ train from Kings Cross Int, Farringdon or Black Friars (15 min journey). If coming from somewhere in South London, then get trains direct to Loughborough Junction).
