Yvette tirelessly runs an array of workshops, theatre trips, bible study groups, wellbeing events, an annual Black History Month ball, not to mention her seaside trips for senior citizens plus yearly spa breaks in Portugal and so much more. Inspired by a passion to lift and empower women, particularly those lonely and isolated in our communities. Having been awarded the titles BME Active Citizen and Woman in the Community Award winner, Yvette will be sharing what was the catalyst for starting JustBe, her highs and lows through the years and how she has stayed motivated over the past decade.
Dr Angela Herbert MBE – Beginning her career in the public sector over 30 years ago, Angela is a minister of faith, qualified, teacher, trainer, transformational coach, public speaker and author; but that is not all! Angela now serves as an ambassador for the Black Ethnic community. She Chair’s the Brent Metropolitan Police Independent Advisory Group and with Neville Lawrence, Co-Chairs the Independent Violent Crime Prevention Board. Hear how she uses her unique experience and community influence to give a voice to those most marginalised in society.
With musical entertainment from Sharlene Hector – An established vocal artist, currently the lead vocalist with UK House group Basement Jaxx. She has also worked with singers such as: Clean Bandit, Primal Scream, Wretch 32, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Alicia Keys, Omar and so many more. Sharlene may have grabbed your attention as the face of a Coca-Cola commercial back in 2004, where she played the lead role of a girl walking down the street, singing and handing out bottles of the drink. Headlining shows such as Glastonbury, V Festival and opening for Love Supreme you do not want to miss what will be an amazing performance.
