We-Stap (We Supply Toiletries & Products to women in need)
Did you know a packet of disposable pads contains the equivalent of 4 carrier bags worth of plastic & can take up to 500 years to bio-degrade?
Did you know 1 in 10 girls & women aged 14 – 21 in the UK experience period poverty, which is an inability to afford menstrual products? Plus many girls are missing school when they are on their period!
So, we’re promoting the use of reusable menstrual products i.e. fabric menstrual pads, menstrual knickers & menstrual cup; as opposed to disposable tampons or pads.
Come & join us on our first fabric menstrual pad sewing session. You’ll learn how to sew a pad for yourself & donate one to someone else. Sewing experience needed.
Don’t worry if you can’t sew, you can help cutting out patterns or adding poppers.
All materials provided, monetary donations or fabric (cotton, fleece, flannel) are welcome
FREE spaces fully booked! £10 tickets available due to popular demand. Fees will cover the additional spaces for fabric & equipment. All proceeds to We-Stap.
Refreshments on sale.
