Black British Parent presents…
“Talk Da Ting!”
An evening of real conversation for AFRICAN & Caribbean parents in the UK.
Come join me Deborah Field-Pellew of Black British Parent and a few of my inspiring friends, mentors and advisers and let’s “Talk Da Ting!” It’s becoming more difficult to speak on our experiences and how we feel about them with the restrictions that are now put in play. Black people appear to be at a disadvantage in British society and racism still plays a huge part in it all. Our blackness is considered a ‘protected characteristic’ yet we do not feel protected in a society many of us were born and raised in. “Talk Da Ting!” is where we can heal, discuss ideas, possible solutions and the realities of what we face here as black people living in Britain, together with the aim of taking control of our own narrative.
This is a ticket only event! Tickets are limited so make sure you get yours and don’t miss out!
Venue: Zenubian 136 Hither Green Ln, SE13 6AQ

This is event is for everyone in what is regarded as THE BLACK BRITISH COMMUNITY. You don’t need to be a parent to join in on the discussions as we ALL have parents and are influenced by them regardless of their presence or absence.
WARNING: Content and discussions may not be suitable for children. Use your discretion, know your child. This may be an emotional experience for many and language is unlikely to be filtered.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a community building event for African and Caribbean people. We will not be intimidated by, excuse our reality and or experiences for, or water anything down to make any non-black peoples who choose to attend feel comfortable! Our healing comes before your comfortability! We also ask that you refrain from recording/filming this event to protect the people who choose to share their personal thoughts, feelings and experiences out of respect for other people and for the purpose of confidentiality.
